I grew up in Guildford surrounded by books and was inspired to write by my father, a poet and author himself, At school I loved writing stories and began doodling poetry in my teens. Throughout my life I continued to doodle poetry, although I yearned to write novels but never had the time.  Raising two children and working full time filled my days completely.

In 2022, I took early retirement and finally had time to realise my dreams joining a creative writing group. The Invitation was published in March 2024. Now I am writing the next book which will pick up where The Invitation finished.  I will share news of this and other projects here and in social media.   

My husband, David, and I have been married for over 30 years. We have two children who are both married, and a delightful granddaughter. We now enjoy time together out and about on our motorbike or at home with our beautiful Burmese cat, Rosie Posie. When I'm not writing I enjoy reading, gardening, crochet and cross-stitch and there are always several projects on the go.
