The Dark Covenant is set in the same fictional world as The Invitation.  It picks up the story several months after The Invitation ends.  We begin in the neighbouring country of Nicadair and meet the flamboyant Jolo and a mysterious Mage from the dessert Country of Belthane in the East.

 

Rush and Thea work with those in the Underground against the corrupt High Council of Anacadair while exiled in Nicadair.  The Anacadair guard and Watchers are still searching for them, but will they cross the border into Nicadair, risking encounters with the Nicadair guards?
